A total of 249 students completed our post-event survey, sharing valuable feedback about their experience at the Seguin Youth Career Expo 2024. Here are the top trends from last year's event.
Top Likes from Students: Many students enjoyed hands-on activities, the cosmetology booth, law enforcement (police/SWAT/military), welding stations, candy giveaways, and construction-related stations.
Top Dislikes: The most common dislikes were the event being too short. A few students mentioned booths not having enough to interact with or the representatives not talking to them about the different careers and education pathways.
Top Career Interests: The most frequently mentioned interests included cosmetology, welding, engineering, and roles in law enforcement. Some students also expressed uncertainty with responses like “no” or “not sure yet.”
As you prepare for the 2025 Expo, we'd like to share some of the most interactive booths from last year - based on student survey responses. Each booth exhibited an interactive activity such as a robotic dog, a SWAT vehicle and SWAT gear, and the opportunity to get a hair braid with the cosmetology team!
