Participate in a Summer Industry Experience!
New Braunfels, Seguin, and Marion educators and businesses are invited to participate in a one-day industry externship experience this summer between June 2 and June 4 to connect careers to the classroom! Educators who participate and complete a one-day externship with a local business will receive a $100 H-E-B gift card, proudly sponsored be H-E-B.
Externship Schedule:
9:00-12:30 pm - Session #1 (lunch provided by host company)
12:30-1:30 pm - Travel to second session
1:30-4:00 pm - Session #2
4:00 pm - Externship Concludes
For Educators
By participating in one-day site visits, educators will gain valuable exposure to local industries, learn about in-demand skills and career pathways, and discover practical ways to bring workforce relevance back to their classrooms. Externships will take place June 2–4, and participants who complete the program will receive a $100 H-E-B gift card. Space is limited, and priority will be given to CTE and High School teachers. For Employers
This initiative connects employers with CTE teachers, high school teachers, and counselors from Comal, Marion, Navarro, New Braunfels, and Seguin Independent School Districts through one-day industry site visits designed to strengthen the connection between education and workforce needs in our region.
By opening your doors to local educators, you can help them better understand your industry, the skills your workforce needs, and the career pathways available to students, ultimately helping build a stronger talent pipeline for the future of your industry!
